her

alas, nobody compares to her

I don’t know that anyone will

my love doesn’t need a thing to exist

it is the endless commitment

the natural persistence

she doesn’t even realize how incomparable, she is

she thinks I see things the way others do

and I just don’t

I see things through the eyes of home.

I see her, in all her glory they simply will never know.

with eyes like lightening, and a heart made of thunder

she is gracious wicked wonder.

I bet she thinks I hate her

I could never

Even when I met her inner predator.

it’s kind of like a devotion I can’t escape

it’s kind of like the tenderness of an earthquake.

I’ll be watching, and learning.

no matter how the fates shall be turning.

there is no comparison, to her

I will watch from a far

its not hard.

my love doesn’t need a damn thing

except you, simply, existing

I don’t want to own, don’t want to posses

don’t want to have a validated existence

mine already is.

as you grow older, I feast upon your glorious aging

fine wine, and never, ever, mine

a red thread, a line, intertwined

this is my love

open palm

relentless truth

and the ability, to so easily, see you
